The mixed ranking
Men and women are brought together in a single ranking.
What about the women-only view?
The ‘Women only’ view shows only the women from this mixed ranking, with the same points: it is not a separate calculation.
How are women’s starting points calculated?
To bring men and women into a common ranking, women’s points are first converted to the same scale as men’s points.
Starting points then depend on the matches played in the previous season:
- In both categories: an average is weighted by the number of matches played in each. The category in which the player played more matches therefore carries more weight.
- Women’s category only: the converted women’s points are used, without averaging.
- Men’s category only: the men’s points are retained, without conversion or averaging.
- No matches in either category: points are determined using the equivalence between her women’s classification and the men’s classification.
The start-of-season adjustment is then deducted, followed by any bonus points being added.
